EXpect to belong

MAKING A DIFFERENCE In the cedar rapids Area

We believe church should be a place to belong—like family. As a family, we want every person at Hope Baptist Church to be fully equipped and ready to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the Cedar Rapids area and beyond.

Our goal is simple -to teach you God's Word and God's love so it can make a difference in your life.

Expect

Real People

Our Church family is simply limping through life and growing in grace. We’re not evaluating you—when you walk in, we’re glad to see you! Don’t worry about having to measure up or fit in. None of us really measure up, and we’re all very different. Our family is very diverse, so fitting in isn’t an issue.

Expect

To Be Welcomed

The gospel of Jesus Christ is the center of everything we do at Hope Baptist Church. Our family is warm and welcoming. Nurseries, children’s ministries, student ministry, and adult Bible fellowships are all well-planned and prepared so that your Sunday is well-invested time of personal growth.

Expect

Jesus to be exalted

We would love to help you move from “religion” into an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ. We worship Jesus, study the Bible, and encourage each other.  We believe and teach what the Bible actually says and why it mattersno pointless traditions, no archaic languages, no pious arrogance.

Expect

to grow in grace

Pastor Koske teaches God's Holy Word and applies it to real-life situations. The Bible has the answers that are essential for your journey through life. Whatever you’re facing, wherever you come from, whatever decisions you are up against—God’s word and God’s love will make a difference.

  • We do not have a dress code to come to church; God wants to meet with us regardless of what we wear. However, we believe since it is God’s house everyone should dress their best. This may be different for everyone. You will find our leaders in suits, but you can also find people wearing jeans and a polo, ties, dresses, slacks, or khakis. What is important is not what you wear, but that you are here!

When you pull into our parking lot, you will see two entrances, one on the south side and one on the west side of the building. Either door enters our foyer. Feel confident knowing that greeters will meet you at both entrances to help you find classes, nursery, the welcome center or the auditorium.

  • We are a small growing church with a heart to minister to everyone. With a strong emphasis on the preaching of God's Word, our services are refreshingly traditional. If you are a first time guest, please consider filling out a connection card and place it into the offering plate or give it to an ushers in exchange for a complimentary book and coffee.

After the service, Pastor Koske and his wife will be at the back of the auditorium and would love to meet you, and thank you for being a guest with us. Don't forget to stop by the welcome center for a free book and coffee and to meet a few of our members.

  • We love children at Hope! During our morning and Wednesday services we have kids programs designed just for them. Our nursery is well-equipped and staffed to care for newborns through 3 yrs old.
